Said energy transfer is carried out in a medium at constant pressure in which the fluid, initially in a liquid state, heats up until its phase changes.

The pressure at which the boiler works marks the temperature at which the steam will be obtained. In the following diagram, you can see the behavior of water in a constant volume. In the following diagram we observe the behavior of water when heated.

As can be seen, depending on the pressure in which we find ourselves, the temperature at which the phase change occurs is different; the higher the pressure, the higher the transition temperature. In the following diagram we observe the behavior of water when heated.

It can be seen that when the liquid and the vapor coexist, for the same line of pressure (isobar), the temperature remains constant.

This principle is used to extract steam from the boiler at the desired temperature and pressure. As the steam is emptied, water is introduced into the liquid phase in order to have continuous production.

In case the pressure decreases, the burner increases the power and a greater amount of energy is transferred; which implies that the pressure will increase.

The opposite happens when you have a higher pressure than desired. Therefore, the regulation of the operation is controlled mainly by the use that is given to the burner of the boiler.
